OpenERP partnership...

Sharoon: %100 agreed with you. OpenERP partnership policy is showing on their web starting partners who pay partnership only to have some visibility on their web, trying to access OpenERP project market and it's allowing people like you and so many qualified skilled and community involved people staying outside their "partner planet".
This causes directly 2 results: 1. They are publishing not skilled people on their web which can cause bad publicity for OpenERP if they begin obtaining failed implementations. 2. They are not having any fee from really skilled people who should be certified as partner and they never would exactly know how many skilled people are working with OpenERP all around the world.
IMHO: Partnership fees and conditions should be totally reviewed. Even objetives of partnership should be reviewed.
People contributing with modules, translations and marketing should be recongized. People with skills should be certified. People who wants to be partners should demostrate they are skilled in any kind of speciality of OpenERP before accesing to be partners. OpenERP should offer tools to became silver or gold partner if they want us to obtain 20.000€ or 50.000€ for them. Why we should be partners if they are going to show us as starter partner, as anybody who is starting now and they made only paying the starting partnership fees... It has nosense. How could I invoice 20.000€ a year for OpenERP if they don't offer tools to be able to offer something to my customers related to OpenERP SA.
I can't offer their training course simply because my partners don't speak in english. I can't offer maintenance contracts by now because they can't support localization modules. Maybe on next version. I can't offer programing tasks because my customer need little low cost customizations not interesting for them. So... I will be starting partner forever and ever. That's not good branding for me or my company, so... They are doing wrong. They are loosing a lot of advantages. They didn't think about it...

Thank you for your great post!!!

Ana
